Highmark BCBS and the Buffalo Bills celebrate Hispanic Heritage Council as Community Hero at Sept. 17 Game
Buffalo, N.Y. (September 15, 2023) — In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, to recognize and the contributions, culture, and history of Hispanic Americans, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Buffalo Bills will celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Council as the Highmark Community Hero for the Sept. 17 game vs. Las Vegas Raiders.
Now in its third year, Highmark’s Community Hero program shines a spotlight on influential non-profit organizations in the Buffalo community at each Regular Season home game. Organizations will also receive a $2,500 donation and two tickets to the game.
The Hispanic Heritage Council is a nonprofit organization that exists to foster and inspire awareness that encourages the understanding and appreciation of the past, present and future of the Hispanic community in Western New York.
Since 2010, the Hispanic Heritage Council has been raising public awareness on the richness and diversity of Latin American heritage, encouraging pride throughout the local Hispanic community. The Hispanic Heritage Council offers a wide variety of cultural events during "Hispanic Heritage Month", which is celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15.
