Premiums are what you pay every month for health insurance. When you have low or $0 premiums, you get overall savings that add up to more money in your pocket.
A $0 deductible means there’s no dollar amount to meet before we pay our part. You’re only responsible for things like copays when you get care.
Seeing a primary care or specialty provider can sometimes cost a lot. Our plans offer copays as low as $0. It’s just another way we’re helping you save.
These health plans are available through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). They’re for you and your family, and nearly 90% of people qualify for savings.* Purchase a plan directly from Highmark or shop the marketplace.
These free or low-cost plans are for kids 18 and under. Highmark Healthy Kids CHIP plans are only offered in Pennsylvania and are not available in other states.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, a PHE was set in place. During this time, Medicaid members weren’t required to renew their coverage. The PHE has ended, and members need to reapply to stay enrolled in Medicaid. Unfortunately, some will no longer be eligible and will need to find new coverage.
If you’re no longer eligible for Medicaid, you may still qualify for individual and family or CHIP plans. You could be eligible for savings that help lower your monthly premiums or out-of-pocket costs. It’s all based on your household size and income.
If you lost Medicaid coverage, you can enroll in an individual and family plan during your Special Enrollment Period. If you live in Pennsylvania, you have 120 days from the date you lost coverage. If you live in Delaware or West Virginia, you have from March 31, 2023, through July 31, 2024, to submit an application.
You can enroll your child in a CHIP plan at any time.
For individual and family plans, almost 90% of people qualify for lower premiums.* Savings are based on your household income and some may qualify for $0 premiums. Check for savings.
