Adult Dental Coverage

Members over 21 years old can visit any dentist in our network. You don’t need a referral to visit a dentist.

Children’s Dental Care

Building a habit of regular visits to the dentist as a child creates a healthy pattern for your child. Routine dental visits and cleanings for your child are covered by Medicaid. Dental emergencies and surgeries that your child may need are also covered.

More Health Care Services Included in EPSDT

Our Growing up with Highmark Wholecare program suggests your child’s first dental visit before their first birthday. After their first birthday your child should go to the dentist every six months. This Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) program provides guidance for check-ups, screenings and health care services for your children.
